Bearded Dragon Holiday Boarding
I have over 20 years experience of keeping and breeding bearded dragons, when I worked as a reptile specialist, we would breed on average 500+ a year for 10 years. I would often get referral clients from vets, requesting help with improving or correcting set-ups when people had been given incorrect advice when buying their dragons from elsewhere and I have many years of successful outcomes improving health and curing illness relating to improper diet and nutrition or incorrect husbandry relating to heat, UVB and substrate issues. In view of this, as well as offering normal holiday boarding, I am also able to assist with such issues as bearded dragons not eating their salad or not eating at all for a small additional charge.
All of my bearded dragon vivariums have UVB bulbs - the majority of which contain arcadia T5 UVB desert lighting units, heat/basking bulbs and higher basking/climbing spots. I use aspen/hemp substrate and can give regular baths on request. All bearded dragons are handled regularly. Mixed salad leaves (and dandelion flowers in the summer when available) as well as fresh herbs and some healthy wild leaves are included in the daily boarding price. All vivariums are a minimum of 3ft long. Insects are also now included in the price (dubia roaches and locusts) as well as salad. I use www.silkwormstore.co.uk for all my live insects. Alternatively, you are welcome to order bugs for your lizard yourself and get them delivered to my address if you prefer to feed something different.
Your beardie will have its own enclosure during its stay and will not be mixing with other bearded dragons, however, during busy periods, it is very likely that it will be able to see other bearded dragons in other enclosures that are also boarding at the same time. On the rare instance that your lizard may be getting agitated by this, I will move him to an alternative enclosure!
