How much UVB does my reptile need?
Here is a list of commonly kept reptiles and the % of UVB they require at 6 inches.
- Bearded dragon: 10-12%
- Cornsnakes 2-5%
- Leopard geckos 5%
- Chameleons 5-8%\*
- Tortoises 10-12%
- Water dragons 5%\*
- Royal pythons 2-5%
- Crested gecko 2-5%
- Uromastyx 10-12%
- Anoles 5%
- Basilisks 5%\*
- Blue tongue skinks 10-12%
- Boa 10%
\*Please note these will probably require a 10% or T5 bulb in order to provide the correct amount of UVB further down in the enclosure where they are most likely to hang out.
