Does Your Snake Bite?

This weeks Tip of the Week explains a few tips to use for prevention if your snake is biting, or attempting to bite you, particularly at feeding time

In order to prevent your snake potentially biting you (by mistake!) it's a good idea to feed your snake out of its enclosure. Some snakes learn to associate their viv glass opening with feeding time and so to avoid this, remove your snake from the vivarium and put it into a box (such as a faunarium or plastic tub/RUB).

Feed the snake in this separate container (you can put it back in the viv inside the tub if it doesn't eat straight away to keep it warm). This way it associates the tub with being fed and not the glass opening, lessening the chance of getting bitten.
